SEC Rankings October 22
Group I
1. Alabama
The Tide narrowly escaped Oxford with a win last Saturday. Big test this week against Tennessee.
2. Georgia
Bulldogs keep on rolling towards a probable SEC East Title.

Group II
1. LSU
Tigers bounce right back into SEC race with a big win over the Gators. Auburn comes to Death Valley Saturday Night.
2. Auburn
Auburn has been lying in the weeds while beating up on lesser teams. With a win over LSU they will be 4-0 in the SEC.
3. Florida
Gators offense is reeling after another dismal performance. Only hope in the SEC East resides on October 29 in Jacksonville.
4. Tennessee
Volunteers would love to spoil 'Bama's undefeated season, but offense needs to play better.

Group III
1. South Carolina
Gamecocks are quietly piling up wins against lesser foes.
2. Vanderbilt
Commodores no longer a pushover.

Group IV
1. Ole Miss
Rebels made a valiant effort, but came up just short against 'Bama
2. Arkansas
Razorbacks just don't have the talent this season to compete.
3. Mississippi State
Good news for the Bulldogs is they play Arkansas and Ole Miss still.
4. Kentucky
Not too many winnable games left.

ACC Rankings October 22

Group I
1. Virginia Tech
Hokies face tough test against resurgent Maryland this Thursday, but are still top dog in ACC.
Group II
1. Miami
Hurricanes quietly moving up in polls. Face tough intra-division tests in the next few weeks, which will determine their season.
2. Florida State
Seminoles suffered tough loss at Virginia, but still control their fate in the Atlantic Division.
3. Boston College
Eagles escaped with a win over Wake Forest after being down late in the fourth quarter. Must win out and not depend on another FSU loss.

Group III
1. Virginia
Cavs score a big win over FSU. Still play VT, Miami, and Georgia Tech.
2. Georgia Tech
Bounced back against Duke. Big opportunity with Miami this weekend.
3. Clemson
Cemented third place Atlantic Division status with road win over NC State.

Group IV
1. North Carolina
A win over UVA would go a long way towards securing a bowl bid.
2. Maryland
Rebounded nicely after early season struggles.
3. NC State
Could not follow up win over GT with a win over Clemson. Bowl chances are in jeopardy.

Group V
1. Wake Forest
Struggling in the improved ACC.

Group VI
1. Duke
Basketball season can't come soon enough.

Big 10 Rankings
Group I
1. Penn State
Lions suffered tough setback against Michigan, but are still in very good position for a run at the Big 10 title.
2. Ohio State
Buckeyes are right in the thick of things in the Big 10 after defeating Michigan State

Group II
3. Wisconsin
Badgers get miracle victory over Minnesota to vault them back near the top.
4. Minnesota
Must rebound quickly after heartbreaking loss to rival Wisconsin.
5. Michigan
May have salvaged season with improbable drive to Penn State on last play of the game.
6. Iowa
Hawkeyes have dissapointed so far this season, but don't count them out after last season's finish.
7. Michigan State
Have lost their momentum after coming out of the gates strong.
8. Northwestern
Been surprisingly good this season with wins over Wisconsin and Purdue with a narrow loss to frontrunner Penn St.

Group III
9. Purdue
Eight year bowl streak may have died in loss to Northwestern.

Group IV
10. Indiana
Having better season than those in the past, but still a Big 10 whipping boy.
11. Illinois
The Sugar Bowl visit a few years ago seems a long way off
