The Best Offense is a Good Defense?

Last nights FSU-Miami game showed once again how much speed these teams are, but also how inept they are on offense. The game was a tale of two halves: Miami dominating the first and FSU dominating the second. Despite the addition of six new assistants, it appears this Miami is very similar to last season's and the same goes for FSU. I thought the offenses would be anemic at times, but not this anemic... take a look at these stats

First Downs: FSU 9 Mia 8
Total Yards: FSU 179 Mia 103
Rushing Yards: FSU 5 Mia 4
Yards Per Pass Play: FSU 5.4 Mia 3.2
Punts: FSU 7 Mia 9

One offensive positive for FSU was that Drew Weatherford was not sacked in this game.

Despite the lack of offensive prowess shown, do not be surprised if these two teams face each other again for the ACC Championship.

Miami is still searching for answers on offense
