Bruce Pearl and Tennessee Just Chillin'
Georgia @ Tennessee
Georgia plays really, really well at home; on the road is another story. Tennessee is the class of the SEC this year and shows no signs of slowing down at home. Watch for how Tennessee guards Georgia G Billy Humphrey. Humphrey is a threat to score from anywhere on the floor, but after him the Bulldogs are pretty mediocre on offense. Tennessee's pressure may force Georgia be more up tempo than they want and not allow Humphrey to work in the half court. I think this game is competitive for about 25 minutes, but then the Vols pressure and speed overtakes the Bulldogs in a rout.
Ole Miss @ Miss State
I was really high on the Rebels and then they lost on the road at the easiest place to play in the SEC, Auburn. Miss State is coming on strong after struggling through a respectable non-conference schedule. Ole Miss is led by freshman Chris Warren and as he goes, so goes the Rebels. Miss State's defense is stifling at home allowing opponents just 34% shooting from the floor. I like Miss State in a low scoring, slug fest at home.
Prediction: Miss State
Vanderbilt @ Florida
I don't think Florida is quite as good as their record, but they are doing just enough to win most of their games so far. Playing at the O-Dome is a big advantage for the Gators that they will need against Vanderbilt. The Commodores have a center, AJ Ogilvy, that will give Florida trouble inside. Florida will respond with their athletic wings and backcourt to overtake Vanderbilt in the last two minutes.
