Georgia Tech-Florida State Review

Until starting QB Josh Nesbitt got hurt, that was the best GT’s offense had played all year.

B-back Jonathan Dwyer had 145 yards on just 13 carries. That is vintage Paul Johnson.

Nesbitt’s status is uncertain for next week. Many Tech fans were calling for backup Jaybo Shaw to start/play more after last week. Funny how we don’t hear these calls now.

I don’t know why FSU didn’t throw more jump balls to Greg Carr. GT was playing 2 true freshman the entire game in the secondary and Carr dwarfed every GT DB.

Regarding the fumble on the goal line, CB Rashaad Reid had the ball in his sights and tried to scoop it and run with it! Luckily no FSU players were close and he was able to fall on it after bobbling.

Many will say GT was lucky to win this one and it may be true. But they had several interceptions dropped. And we don’t know that FSU would have scored a TD on 3rd down without the fumble. Ok they were a little lucky.

The loss by Virginia, puts Tech right back in the Coastal Division hunt. All the tiebreaker possibilities give me a headache.

Last Week: 0-4 ATS, 1-3 SU
Season: 23-13-2 ATS, 24-14 SU
