Virginia @ Wake Forest
I do not put a lot of stock in the fact that Wake Forest had to go to overtime to beat Duke last week because the Deacons have had similar struggled in previous years with worse Duke teams. Virginia had their four game winning streak snapped in OT by a team who extended their winning streak to four with the win, Miami.
Wake is up there next to Clemson when it comes to disappointing teams in the ACC this season. I think Cedric Peerman bounces back from a tough game last week for a big game. Virginia wins in a mild upset in Winston Salem.
Pick: Virginia
NC State @ Duke
The Wolfpack are getting closer and closer to an ACC win. Duke has made big strides under David Cutcliffe this year also. A couple of plays go a different way last week and Duke could have won that game. I think an improved Duke defense holds State’s offense in check and Thaddeus Lewis is able to generated enough offense to slide Duke past State.
Pick: Duke
Notre Dame @ Boston College
Lets get one thing out of the way – Boston College owns Notre Dame. Well two things – this is a huge game for BC every year and just another game for Notre Dame. The Eagles are coming off an upset loss at home to Clemson. Notre Dame has not beaten a team with a winning record this season and is coming off a draining, 4 OT loss to Pitt last week. I will take Boston College at home.
Pick: Boston College
