Kentucky Tennessee Prediction

Kentucky at Tennessee
Tuesday 9PM ESPN

This used to be a one sided rivalry, but since Bruce Pearl has come to Knoxville, the Volunteers have held their own. Since 1980, Kentucky has 41 wins to Tennessee's 17, but over the last six meetings the series is even at 3-3.

Both teams can score the ball averaging at least 80ppg on the season. Kentucky is largely winning with their defense that is giving up just 37% shooting from the field. The Vols are just 10-4, but have faced a brutal schedule thus far falling shortly only of playing the Boston Celtics and LA Lakers. Tennessee has controlled the boards this season ranking 1st in the SEC. Kentucky turns the ball over a whopping 18 times per game and that statistic scares me going into a tough road environment in Knoxville.

Tennessee Wins by 5-15 points.

Season: 0-0 SU
