Georgia-Kentucky, Arkansas-Miss State, Tennessee-Vandy Predictions

Not the most exciting slate of SEC games this week, but next will be huge so a "week off" might be a good thing.

Florida and Alabama have warm up games before their big rivalry games next week. And speaking of rivalries, Tennessee tries to get bowl eligible by beating Vanderbilt this Saturday.

Georgia hopes to use the confidence gained from the Auburn win to beat Kentucky and improve their bowl chances. Same goes for Arkansas who is hosting Miss State in Little Rock.

Last week was a good week going 11-1 straight up and 7-4-1 against the spread.

Kentucky Wildcats at Georgia Bulldogs
Saturday 7:45PM ET TV: ESPN

Line: UGA -8

Two 6-4 teams that have had drastically different seasons meet in Athens in ESPN’s prime time game Saturday night.

The disappointing Bulldogs are coming off a big win over Auburn though in a game that could have sent their season even further south.

Georgia’s big problem defensively has not been the years, but the points allowed. This points to UGA’s poor turnover margin that was at the bottom of FBS before last week.

UK may or may not have Randall Cobb available. Last year, Cobb ran the option at QB and nearly led the Wildcats to a win in Lexington.

If he is available I think UK has a shot at the upset here.

Mississippi State Bulldogs @ Arkansas Razorbacks
Saturday 12:20PM ET TV: SEC Network

Line: ARK -11

We have a clash of styles between Miss State and Arkansas on Saturday; the Bulldogs want to run the ball and the Razorbacks would like to sling it all over the yard.

Arkansas has been better at their strength as of late than Miss State has. Also, the Bulldog defense is starting to show some wear and tear giving up 230 rush yards per game over their past three.

Miss State has never won in Little Rock (where the game is ) or Fayetteville and I don’t think it starts this year.

The Razorbacks will blow this one open in the second half behind Ryan Mallet’s arm.

Vanderbilt Commodores at Tennessee Volunteers
Saturday 7PM ET TV: ESPNU

Line: TENN -17

Lane Kiffin is glad last week is over. Oh wait, the Vols had another arrest come out? Usually UT dominates the month of November but it does not look that task will be very easy this season.

Vanderbilt has had some tough luck this season, well maybe just not the same luck they had last year.

With a win, Tennessee gets bowl eligible in their first year under Kiffin. Despite even more distractions this week, I think the Vols bounce back nicely this week.

The Vols like to run the ball and Vandy has not been very good at stopping it this year; this could be a recipe for a blowout.
