Tenn-Ole Miss, Alabama-Miss State, Florida-So Carolina, UK-Vandy, LSU-La Tech Predictions

Sorry I am getting this up late. I have been trying to follow all of the news out of Knoxville (not really), but more so trying to keep my 8:30 - 7:24 job (really).

Six SEC games this weekend, five will be profiled here and Auburn-Georgia in my "expanded" format.

Last week I was a stunning 10-0 SU and 5-4-1 ATS (not as stunning but not bad). I did do pretty well in the SEC though 5-0 SU and 4-1 ATS (dang Les Miles and his two point conversions).

Tennessee Volunteers at Ole Miss Rebels

Line: Ole Miss -4.5

I am sure Lane Kiffin loved being awakened from his sleep next to his beautiful wife to hear three of his players had been arrested last night. I am also going to guess that the focus of the Volunteer football team and coaching staff is now not 100% focused on Ole Miss like it should be.

But even before all that, I liked Ole Miss in this game because of how they have played at home and how UT has played on the road this season. Ole Miss is having a disappointing year, but it is not a bad year by Ole Miss standards and the Rebels should not slighted for underachieving when looking at the spread.

Kentucky Wildcats at Vanderbilt Commodores

Line: Kentucky -3

Last year Vandy came into Lexington and beat Kentucky on their way to their first bowl game since the early 80s.
Now it is pay back time for Kentucky who will ride their underrated defense into Nashville.

Also, I like what UK is doing on offense now and wonder why they have not done it all year? But now they may switch back to Mike Hartline at QB this week if he is healthy.

Anyways, I like the Wildcats to take down a despondent Vanderbilt team.

Florida Gators at South Carolina Gamecocks
Line: Florida -16

Brandon Spikes is sending the three Tennessee Vol players chocolates for taking him of the news. A simple eye gouging looks pretty tame right now in the SEC.

The end of the season is getting near and that must mean South Carolina is starting to play worse. The defense is banged up and not playing at the same level that got South Carolina fortune and glory in September.

Meanwhile, the Gators defense has been lights on the road this year giving up under 200 yards per game and 10 points. I think Florida wins and covers here after sleep walking through the Vandy game.

La. Tech Bulldogs at LSU Tigers

Line: LSU -24

La. Tech has been close in three straight games, but fallen short in all three most notably against Boise State last Friday. LSU is coming off a tough loss at Alabama last week.

The Tigers will win this one easily, but I do not think they cover. LSU will have a tough time getting up for La Tech who is sandwiched between arguably their two biggest rivals, Alabama and Ole Miss.

Alabama Crimson Tide at Mississippi State Bulldogs

Line: Alabama -12

You have to like Dan Mullen's confidence by coming out and saying his Bulldogs will beat Alabama on Saturday night. I am sure Nick Saban took that comment at face value.

Davis Wade Stadium will be rocking like it was for Florida, but I don't know if they can count on two interception returns for touchdowns as Alabama might not pass the ball that many times. Miss State's defense is giving up 219 rush yards per game on the season.

I think the Tide run the ball down their throats, control the clock, and get out of Starkville with a win.
