Final Four Odds: Surprise, Surprise
What? That Duke is the favorite? No, that one was easy. The big surprise to me was that Michigan State and not Butler was the biggest underdog at +450 (Butler is +350).
I thought for sure the Bulldogs would be the big dog coming from the Horizon League even in their home time.
Could it be the possible distraction facing Tom Izzo with a very lucrative offer from Oregon or the loss of Kalin Lucas?
I think as great as Izzo is he is becoming known as a guy who gets to the big game, but has trouble winning it. Izzo has gotten the Spartans to five final fours previously but has only won once back in 2000.
Duke is the favorite as expected at +150. West Virginia is +225. And yes, I think the champion comes from this semifinal.
The MOP favorites are Nolan Smith and DaSean Butler at +300.
