New UGA AD Discusses Tech-UGA Game Date and Future Out of Conference Schedules

New UGA AD Greg McGarity interviewed on 790 The Zone recently and discussed among other things the Bulldogs' future non-conference schedules and says Georgia-Georgia Tech game date will not be moved.

A short while ago the Atlanta Sports Council was trying to get Tech and UGA to move their rivalry game to the opening weekend as part of the Chick-Fil-A kickoff classic. Georgia Tech wanted to move the 2012 game scheduled to be played on Tech's campus to the Georgia Dome and then play the 2013 game at Bobby Dodd to help balance their home schedule.

McGarity gets real on UGA's non-conference schedules saying he doesn't want to play too many tough games with Tech already on the schedule. I give him credit for speaking the truth and not dancing around the subject like many AD's do.
