Georgia - Kentucky Prediction: Can The Bulldogs Make It Three In A Row?

The "Fire Mark Richt" talk has been mostly silenced the last two weeks with blowout wins over Tennessee and Vanderbilt at home and a glimmer of hope in the SEC East race.

Now, UGA takes their improved team on the road to face a Kentucky team coming off a big win over South Carolina last week. The Wildcats will likely face their third tough, physical game in three weeks facing Auburn two weeks ago and narrowly missing out on the upset of the Tigers.

This is a matchup of distracted teams.

UK 'do it all' player Randall Cobb sent a message to fans last week chastising their support of the football program. Cobb quickly retracted the message, but the damage was done and head coach Joker Philips had to perform damage control.

Georgia travels to Kentucky, but they may be looking ahead to next week and a chance to finally beat a struggling Gator team. Most Bulldog players have not defeated the Gators and they know what that would mean to the program.

Yes, Kentucky won last year but Georgia dominated the statistics only to be undone by turnovers. If the Bulldogs lose the turnover battle again their stay in the SEC East race will be short.

But I see an improving UGA offense with a QB starting to learn how to win in the SEC coupled with an underrated defense.

Kentucky will make it close because they always do at home, but a late defensive stand by Todd Grantham's unit and a missed field goal proves and to be the difference in an exciting game.

Georgia 27 Kentucky 24
