Notre Dame Decided To Stomp Navy Instead of Stopping Them

In the midst of Notre Dame's 35-17 loss to the Naval Academy in which the Midshipmen rushed for 367 yards and passed just twice, the Fighting Irish did manage to stomp out Navy's offense on one play.

All in a week's work says Notre Dame Head Coach Brian Kelly who doesn't plan to discipline the Irish defender.

Judging by Saturday's performance I don't blame Kelly. He needs all the players he can have right now.

Meanwhile, Notre Dame complains about the "chop blocks" leveled by Navy in the loss.

Navy's senior class will leave Annapolis having gone 3-1 vs Notre Dame after 43 straight losses. Like Lou Holtz constantly reminds on ESPN, Notre Dame is very close to winning a national championship.
