Two Funny Stories...Unless You Are a Stanford or Texas Tech Fan

At halftime, Erin Andrews interviewed Oregon Head Coach Chip Kelly asking him about his yelling at the officials.

Kelly then earned himself a fine from the Pac 10 Office. The Ducks head coach essentially accused the refs of being friends with Stanford Head Coach Jim Harbaugh.

Guess the refs got the message as Oregon blew the Cardinal out in the second half.

Story 2....
The Texas Tech must feel real good about all that money they saved firing Mike Leach.

Texas Tech and new head coach Tommy Tuberville lost to Iowa State 52-38 this past weekend. The Cyclones had not scored that much since 1972 in a conference game.

An interesting note is that Tuberville hired Iowa State Head Coach Paul Rhodes as his Defensive Coordinator his last season at Auburn. Rhoades moved on to Ames to take the head job when Gene Chizik left Ames for Auburn.

Sports by Brooks had the box score graphic as "Craig James Ego" 38 Iowa St 52.

Texas Tech decided they didn't want to play big boy football when they refused to play Leach and now they are paying the price.
