ACC Power Rankings Week 10: Virginia Tech Pulling Away

So...Virginia Tech beat NC State who beat Florida State who beat Miami who beat Clemson who beat Georgia Tech who beat North Carolina who beat Virginia who beat Miami who beat North Carolina who beat Clemson who lost to Boston College who lost to Notre Dame. Here goes nothing.

1. Virginia Tech
Hokies can seal up the Coastal Division with a win over Georgia Tech this Thursday.

2. NC State
Maybe the Wolfpack was lucky that Christian Ponder dropped the ball instead of hitting a wide open receiver in the end zone.

3. Florida State
Seminoles lost control of their own destiny in the Atlantic, but if they win out I think they are in Charlotte for the ACC Championship.

4. Miami
The Hurricanes are really here by default because I couldn't move up Clemson or Georgia Tech or North Carolina after their most recent performances.

5. Clemson
The last two weeks have epitomized Clemson football since 1991.

6. Georgia Tech
Yellow Jackets face their biggest underdog spread yet under Paul Johnson.

7. North Carolina
If William & Mary had beaten the Tar Heels it would have been the first time in a while a Paulus beat UNC.

8. Maryland
Don't renew fireralphfriedgen.com. The Terps are bowl eligible.

9. Boston College
I think Clemson would just rather have BC go back to the Big East.

10. Virginia
Was the Miami win the turning point under Mike London?

11. Duke
The Blue Devils beat Navy and in a few weeks get to face Georgia Tech.

12. Wake Forest
Jim Grobe's lack of talent has finally completely over matched his coaching ability.
