Georgia Tech Should Not Expect Stephon Tuitt To Switch From Notre Dame (UPDATED 1/18) number one prospect in the state of Georgia is committed to Notre Dame but has left the door open to Georgia Tech, his early lean, with an official visit scheduled this next weekend.

Tuitt has visited Tech's campus many times and was thought to be the headliner for this Jacket recruiting classs, but he pulled a surprise committing to the Irish after an official visit to South Bend.

What would it take for Tuitt to switch?

"To take me away from (Notre Dame), you've got to offer something double that school," Tuitt said. "So … I'm going to stay there."

Tuitt had an impressive report from the US Army All-American Game last week in San Antonio.

A number of times during Thursday morning's practice, Tuitt, who lined up at right defensive end over the left offensive tackle, constantly bulled his blocker toward the backfield. Sacks weren't allowed, but it was evident that Tuitt would have had more than one during the short live session.

(UPDATED 11PM) Chip Towers of the AJC Recruiting Blog has a story up on Tuitt's recruiting visit to Tech next weekend

Tuitt on the visit: “When I go, I’m going to go there with an open mind,” said Tuitt, a senior at Monroe Area High School. “I’m going to act like it’s the first time I’ve been there. I’m going to forget past history between me and the coaches and try to see if it’s a place I could see myself playing the next four or five years.”
(Updated Jan. 18) So Tuitt does end up switching his commitment to Georgia Tech after the official visit this past weekend.  Chip Towers of the AJC has some quotes from Rivals #1 players in the state of Georgia here on why he switched.  I wonder if Notre Dame will make another push for him?
