Brian Kelly Wants Notre Dame to Beat the SEC...There Is Just One Problem

The Fighting Irish aren't scheduled to play any SEC teams for at least the next two years and don't have any teams on the released schedules.

The Notre Dame coach was in Hilton Head, SC for an alumni function and talked about where he wants the Irish program.

“I think it’s pretty clear when people talk about college football, they point to the SEC,” Kelly said. “If you want to change that perception, you have to do something about it. You can’t just talk about it. You have to beat those SEC teams when the opportunity arises.

But yet according to Notre Dame's future schedules they don't have a spot for an SEC opponent in 2012 or 2013.

They do have two openings in the 2014 and 2015 schedules for a possible home and home.

With the way ND has recruited thus far under Kelly, the Irish could be a very formidable foe for an Alabama, Florida, LSU, or Auburn.
